Dr. Pekin was born in Ankara in 1985. He graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at Bilkent University in 2007 and completed his Master’s degree in the same department in 2010. Additionally, he earned a second Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Business Administration at Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics in 2013. He completed his Ph.D. in Information Systems at Middle East Technical University in 2017. Since 2006, he has been working as a software developer, gradually taking on roles as a technical lead, designer, and technical manager, and eventually founded his own software company as an entrepreneur. Alongside his engineering career, he has been active in academia since 2007, serving as a full-time research assistant at Bilkent University, and as a visiting faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (Departments of Computer Engineering and Management Information Systems) and Gazi University, Department of Industrial Engineering. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Management Information Systems at OSTİM Technical University. His research and expertise include Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Games, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and Mobile Application Development.
